Designing commemorative elements demands sensitivity to both the subject and the place. Memorials encourage reflection and understanding. Donor programs honor the benefactors who make possible advances in education, medicine and the arts.  Celebrating people and events, with a spirit that is appropriate to purpose and context, is one of the most rewarding things we do.

Memorials and donor recognition systems require a high degree of refinement. These programs stay in place for many decades, so a high standard of quality and beauty must be matched with practical criteria such as durability.

We organize content so its prominence matches its importance. The placement and hierarchy of names, quotations and secondary text, is given careful consideration in cooperation with the client group. Rendering typography with etching, carving, or dimensional letters is also extensively studied. Fonts are tested for appearance, size and legibility in the chosen materials.

We plan for updates and flexibility. We often design modular or digital solutions for ongoing campaigns. Interactive digital elements have wonderful advantages: continual updating is possible, donor stories can be included, and even the smallest donations can be acknowledged and thanked.
