This hospital complex represents the commitment of Doha, Qatar to state-of-the-art medical care for its citizens.
CG worked closely with interior designers to integrate graphic elements to aid wayfinding and add visual interest. The cultural life of Qatar—architecture, textiles, art and native flora and fauna—provided inspiration for the custom symbols and arabesque patterns.
For the pediatric hospital, scenes of familiar animals such as the Arabian horse and the camel provide amusement to occupy young patients.
Notable: CG evaluated numerous Arabic typefaces for legibility, design and appearance within the bilingual sign system.
