Designing for Binghamton, NY’s DECO District

From the days of the railroad, Binghamton, NY was a transportation crossroads and manufacturing center. Today, the city’s DECO District has become a hub for artists and makers and a focus for creativity and reinvention.

The City of Binghamton has partnered with CG, Barton and Loguidice, Whitman Planning and Design, and LUMA to strengthen and promote this thriving arts community. The team will develop a series of environmental elements, an animated brand identity along with streetscape improvements and enhanced public spaces to capture the spirit and vibrancy of the arts in this former industrial district.
