Temple University Environmental Graphics

Temple University is a public research institution in the heart of Philadelphia; its iconic “Temple T” and “Cherry Red” color are featured prominently throughout campus. In addition to the Master Plan developed for exterior signage, CG has also designed a wide range of environmental graphics for Temple, including a history installation, donor displays, wall graphics, and pavers.

Many of these elements were designed for Temple’s 250,000 square-foot Science Education and Research Center, the home of the College of Science and Technology. A 60-foot sweeping wall which forms the perimeter of the lecture hall is the focus of the building’s first floor. CG has created angled panels that outline the advancement of science and mathematics. A donor recognition display was also developed to recognize the generous benefactors that have contributed to the $137 million facility. Pavers outside the entrance to the building feature symbols representing each school within the college; these symbols are also featured on digital wayfinding screens inside.

CG also designed a recognition wall for The Fox School of Business, highlighting prominent alumni with quotes, portraits and their graduation year. This multi-story installation is adjacent to the staircase, allowing the viewer to see more alumni as they go up and down.
