UMBC gateway fabricator wins Craftsmanship Award

Congratulations to Chris Gellien of Urban Sign Inc. who won the BCE 2016 Craftsmanship Award for the lighting systems used at UMBC’s gateway monument.

CGA, with Urban Sign Company and Stantec, developed the new formal gateway to create a more distinctive and dramatic point of entry for the UMBC campus. This new addition, combined with identification, wayfinding and interpretive signs, will enhance the campus experience.

The BCE (Building Congress & Exchange) recognizes the achievements of outstanding individuals in the construction industry. Those selected have displayed a superior quality and aesthetic appeal with their work.
