New branding strategy for NJT’s Transit Friendly Planning, Land Use and Development Program is now live!

New Jersey Transit is a recognized leader in the advocacy and planning for transit-oriented development along its integrated public transportation network, reflecting the communities they serve. Through their innovative Transit Friendly Program, NJ Transit has provided on-call technical planning assistance to dozens of interested municipalities to create and implement community-based vision plans to guide local growth, especially in areas where transit could stimulate new development opportunities. The NJT goal is to create livable and sustainable places in which people can live, work, and play all in the same community, without requiring the use of a car.

CG guided the development and designed a long-term branding strategy which includes a new energetic, fun signature, identity and logo along with comprehensive brand guidelines for a wide range of typical formats and applications; website, media and projected uses.

The design team, led by Pennoni (Group Melvin), includes FHI, NV5 and Perkins Eastman.
