CGD designs countywide wayfinding system for Baltimore parks
CGD has developed an exterior wayfinding program for the Baltimore County Park System, offering a distinct signage design that addresses wayfinding and identifies the county’s 27 park locations as a regional asset. This coordinated, branded system of identification and wayfinding signs welcomes and guides the public, while kiosks inform the public of the diverse park offerings nearby and around the county. System documents will also become a “style guide” for phased future projects.
The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks manages more than 6,600 acres of land within 190 parks and leased recreation sites throughout the county. It also conducts programs at 160 school recreation centers. From neighborhood pocket parks and small waterside playgrounds to large athletic complexes and hiking trails, Baltimore County Parks offers recreation and amenities for all ages and interests.
