CG creates interactive parklet for PARKing Day 2022

PARKing Day is one of our favorite days at CG and we love coming together to plan and design our parklet. This year, tourists, commuters and neighbors in Old City participated in our installation by removing part of an image of a parked car to reimagine the space as a colorful and insightful parklet! Quotes, interesting facts and positive affirmations were printed on the back of each car part and left participants feeling inspired and informed. Once the car was removed from view, lawn games provided some Friday afternoon relaxation and socialization.

This annual event reimagines the possibilities of 160 square feet of public space. The event celebrates parks and other public spaces in cities across the country, and raises awareness of the need for more pedestrian-friendly spaces in our urban areas.
