Work in progress

Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital

Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital is making its mission — “building on the promise of medicine” — tangible with an ambitious $273 million dollar modernization plan that will expand and unify the Bethesda campus. This campus transformation includes a new hospital addition, parking garage, conference center and site enhancements.

The hospital remains the only trauma center and stroke center in the county, with over 46,000 emergency department visits annually. Suburban Hospital also has a formal affiliation with NIH (National Institutes of Health) which is located directly across the street, in an effort to enhance the region’s healthcare services.

CG planned the wayfinding for this 2020 Campus Transformation to help visitors orient and self-navigate the larger facility. Sign system design also included donor recognition to thank the hospital’s benefactors.
