Cornell Law School is a lovely but labyrinthian complex of 3 buildings, with large spaces and classic Gothic beauty. However the tangle of corridors, elevators and staircases make for convoluted wayfinding, especially for those with physical limitations. As the buildings are set on a hill the entrances are on different floors and reach different parts of the complex.
CG is working to uncomplicate wayfinding for the school’s many visitors without compromising the facility’s grand aesthetic. The signage helps orientation by clarifying where elevator banks, stairways and corridors go; the system is focused on navigation to the most important destinations
within the School.
