Highland Park, New Jersey

Under the mayor’s leadership, Highland Park has undergone a transformation to become sustainable ecologically, economically and socially. A new streetscape project brings many of these “green” values into play, including rain gardens to purify runoff and recycled glass pavers.

In its design of signage, interpretive elements and banners for the town, CG worked to capture a spirit that is eclectic, creative and friendly. The Arts and Crafts-inspired aesthetic is motivated by the town’s historic architecture.

Notable: Multi-lingual banners speak to the very diverse citizenry, many of whom teach at nearby Rutgers University.
